TOEFL test (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is an internationally recognized and most widely respected English language test, which is recognized by more than 8,500 colleges, universities and other institutions in more than 130 countries. TOEFL test was created by American organization ETS (Educational Testing Service) as an American language standard.
Use of the TOEFL in practice: the goal of the TOEFL test is to evaluate the level of knowledge of English language of people who do not have English as a native language. TOEFL test is intended primarily for students who have English language approximately at the level B1 to C1 according to the CEFR. The test can be done using the Internet and it is referred to as TOEFL iBT (TOEFL Internet-Based Testing) and an examination is carried out only by accredited educational institutions.
