Skill is a term that refers to the ability or complex of skills in the practical activity. Skills are developed based on the learning ability.
Skills can be divided, in contrast to the ability, more smooth, for example:
- Presentation skills
- Communication skills
- Negotiation skills
- Business skills
- Computer skills
- And of course, many other skills
Skills are part of competency as the assumptions of more specific nature.
Use of the skills in practice: HR managers work with skills when analyzing the job and defining job specification.
Note: In current practice (or speech), the concepts of “ability” and “skills” are often confused or used synonymously.
