Shared values is a term used to describe such values of the organization that are promoted and supported by management and that are accepted by most of the employees. Shared values correspond to the organizational culture in the narrower sense.
Use of the shared values in practice: Employees who are internally identified with the values of the organization are easier to regulate, control and possibly revise their behavior to be consistent with these values. Therefore it is advantageous when the culture of every successful organization is built on values that are known, shared and accepted by all its workers.
