Secure communication is a communication between two parties that is protected against interference or wiretapping of any third party. The exchange of information or data between the two parties remains undisturbed and secure. The communicating parties must be certain about the security of the transmitted information.
How to ensure a secure communication?
-
Secure direct interpersonal communication (happening in direct contact of two persons) means that no third party is eavesdropping. The security of interpersonal communication depends mainly on the choice of the site, i.e. by selecting a secure place to communicate, or we can ensure the security of communication by means of active protection system against interception.
-
Secure interpersonal communication using technology (phone, email, chat, video conferencing, etc.) can be protected via secured line in particular. Nowadays, most voice communications (or other audio transmissions) take place digitally - via data flow. The most common security of such communication is therefore encryption (e.g. end-to-end encryption).
-
Secure data transfer, communication between two devices, programs, software and other network communications are also secured by data encryption.
