Rensis Likert
Rensis Likert was born on August 5, 1903 and died on September 3, 1981. He is one of the major organizational psychologist. His key work is the identification of different management/leadership styles (4S Model). He also created the so-called Likert scale, and founded the Institute for Social Research at the University of Michigan.
He received his Bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan in 1926. In 1932 Likert received a doctorate in psychology from Columbia University.
