Paradox of Mintzberg states that despite the various nature of top management work, compared with the management work on lower levels, the senior management should remain in touch with the everyday life of organizations. It should make strategic decisions and isolate unimportant details, but it should also know as much about the current operation of the organization, about the atmosphere and to some extent as well as about everyday problems.

Henry Mintzberg elegantly describes it himself: “Effective strategists are not people who abstract themselves from the daily detail, but who immerse themselves in it while being able to abstract the relevant messages from it.”
