Organizational development is a broad, highly complex concept of organizational management (it is a set of methods) of increasing the effectiveness and viability of the organization through the application of knowledge of behavioral sciences (psychology, sociology and anthropology). Knowledge and application of methods of social psychology of the organization, and sociotechnology play a crucial role.
In terms of organizational development, the organization is made up of at least two people who work together to achieve at least one common goal.
The aim is change of formal and informal structures, processes, work, skills and performance of people, and application of new technologies (e.g. ICT).
Organizational development is related to change management and innovation implementation.
