OEM in practice: OEM designation is often used by hardware manufacturers and also in the automotive industry. Companies that are highly valued in the market, they use OEM manufacturers to produce quality components or even entire products, to which they then give their brand.

Example: Apple used displays from Samsung. It was thus the OEM of these displays.
