MRP (Material Requirements Planning) is a management method based solely on material requirements planning, which does not take into account other manufacturing resources and constraints - human capacity, the capacity of the manufacturing machines, etc. This method was dominant in the production planning until about 1980. Then it was gradually displaced by a more integrated planning MRP II.
