Know-how is a term for a practical knowledge and experience needed for an activity.
Know-how in practice: The concept of know-how is used in everyday conversation in colloquial sense of “I know how to” I’ve got a sufficient know-how for it, i.e. in terms of tacit knowledge (non-transferrable, associated with personal experience). In commercial contracts, the know-how is used in a much stronger importance, such as knowledge of formulas, material composition, manufacturing processes, often protected by license, trademark or patent. Know-how is often the subject of confidentiality and protection. Production processes can’t be imitate without know-how.
