
John A. Zachman
John Zachman was born on December 16, 1934. Zachman is an American business and IT consultant. He received a degree in chemistry from Northwestern University. Since 1964 he worked at IBM, where he held various positions in marketing and after he was affected by the methodology Strategic System Planning, he took over responsibility for the program BSP (Business System Planning), where he focused on information systems architecture. After he left IBM in 1990, he together with Samuel Holcman founded ZIFA (Zachman Institute for Framework Advancement), under whose auspices he published Zachman Framework.
John Zachman has become thanks to his framework a pioneer in the field of enterprise architecture.
