Human Resource Planning is a term that refers to one of the personnel activities. The purpose of personnel planning is to ensure that the organization has the necessary quantity and quality of available human resources necessary for the achievement of its corporate strategy.
Human Resources Strategy (sometimes also staffing strategy or personnel strategy) is a strategic document of personnel planning, which has a firm position in the Hierarchy of Strategies of the organization.
Human Resources Strategy is derived from the global strategy, but the human resources of an organization, on the other hand, are determined by what is real for the organization. A two-way planning method should therefore be used for desirable linking of these two strategies.
The purpose of human resource planning is to determine what human resources the organization will need and where to get them - whether from internal sources or external, or how to educate, train and develop them.
Part of the human resource strategy should therefore be as accurate as possible a prognosis of the needs of the workforce both in qualitative and quantitative terms, and also the forecast of future situation in the labor market, and of course, a realistic comparison of the two forecasts.
CHRO is usually responsible for human resource strategy.
