Methodology is called a description of the procedure of a work activity - recommended workflow that can be more or less formalized. Some methodologies have names, and completely fixed structure, others are very loose. The methodology can be an integrated and sophisticated set of sub-procedures or instructions. It can also refer to any management method or analytical technique which describes their application or use. Normally it therefore represents a know-how of use of the method and it may assist in the management or analysis.
Framework is much broader than the methodology, contrary to it defines the single conceptual and semantic space and serves as a frame or guide for building something (e.g. methodology, applications, system, etc.). Frameworks unify terminology and include the reference models. There are frameworks for analysis and management.
The boundary between them is not always clear, fixed and cannot be clearly described. Methodologies and frameworks can be general or narrowly focused on one area (specific).
