Corporate psychologist is a profession focused on the psychological activities and services associated with the issue of human resources in the organization. It occurs in larger organizations. Smaller organizations can hire the services externally.
Corporate psychologist is usually involved in the selection of employees for selected or special positions, to assess their suitability for promotion and career management assistance for selected employees. He helps all employees to solve work problems, or other problems that may affect job performance. He also participates in solution of other issues related to human resources in the organization.
Corporate psychologist is a college-educated professional with at least a Master’s degree in psychology. Further specialization should be in work and organizational psychology.
Corporate psychologist usually cooperates with the HR department which is headed by CHRO. He can also collaborate on complex projects directly with the senior management of the organization - then CEO is his partner.
