Bottleneck

Bottleneck is in some sense a limiting and risk factor of the system.

Bottleneck rule is used in system analysis. We can imagine it analogous to the flow of water in the pipe, which is just as fast as the flow of water in the narrowest point of the pipe.

In the manufacturing or process concept, the rule says that manufacturing or other process (chain) is as fast as its slowest part (chain link).
