Unsolicited, annoying advertising of products - 2K Sports generate a lot of income from sponsorship deals with companies such as Gatorade NBA 2K MT, Beats, and Mountain Dew. To a certain extent the excitement of the game is enhanced with the presence of companies. But, these ads are extremely annoying in recent years.
NBA 2K20 was the most prominent example of corporate influence weakening the brand. These companies were able to create advertising spots for the event, which was an event that must not be missed. Gatorade, Beats and other companies were prominently displayed throughout the event. It was a quick process of getting old. I’m not against being a passive advertiser in the Neighbourhood however, I strongly oppose the push of products on the user. I would like to see these cutscenes and spots taken out of NBA 2K21.
MyCareer Free Agency: Once you have reached a certain stage in MyCareer it’s possible to influence the agency decisions of your team. The MyPlayer can choose five open agency targets which the front office will attempt to obtain. This is a novel feature and is a reward for the arduous work of MyCareer.
However, the free-agent period is not logical. It’s not clear when the five chosen players will join your team during free agency. It doesn’t matter which salary limits you have. In my latest save, Jayson Tatum and Brandon Ingram joined the Cleveland Cavaliers with contracts that were at their maximum Buy NBA 2K22 MT. It was ridiculous and made saving the team a breeze during my second season in Cleveland.
