B2B (Business to Business) is a term that was created to describe one of the electronic commerce models. In practice, the abbreviation B2B is used that refers to the business relationship between two enterprises.

B2B business relationship usually takes place via the Internet. For the B2B solution is typically electronic data exchange, which include electronic invoicing, online banking, warehouse management in supply chains, online catalogs, online auctions and the interconnection of business information systems (e.g. via web services).

Especially, the interconnection of information systems allows to automate mutual business flows and ties and it can significantly reduce transaction costs.

Use of the B2B in practice: The concept of B2B is nowadays used not only to describe e-business solutions between two enterprises but for designation of all marketing and business activities between businesses - to emphasize that it is not a relationship with the customer.
