Zachman Framework

Zachman Framework is a framework for description of the Enterprise Architecture, designed by John Zachman.

Zachman Framework was one of the first frameworks, which dealt with a comprehensive description of the organization as a whole. “Enterprise Architecture” - the description is divided into five levels:

  • Scope (Contextual)
  • Business Model (Conceptual)
  • System Model (Logical)
  • Technology Model (Physical)
  • Detailed Representation (Interpretation)

and six views on the organization:

It is much respected, cited, but does not contain a description in a greater detail.
