Division of labor in organizations leads to establishment of different professions (jobs). Individual professions are different primarily by subject of work (job specification, which is described in job description and the range of authority and responsibility of given profession.
Every organization, depending on, in which specific market sector and specific branch operates or does business, has different requirements for the range of professions that it, for its activities, needs. Influence on the number of professions has naturally to do also with the size of the organization - in smaller organizations there is a cumulation of professions (job description of each profession).
